Get to Know Jack Kennedy
I'm Jack Kennedy, an energetic and detail-oriented financial services professional with a robust background in biomedical engineering and mathematics, and a passion for technology.
I have recently moved to Sydney, and I am looking for work as a Data Analyst or Junior Developer.
I hold a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin, where I graduated in 2019. Since then, I have gained extensive experience in various roles, including senior positions in data and reporting analysis, transfer agency analysis, and client support.
Some of my recent achievements:
Process Efficiency and Automation: Increased processing efficiency by writing and improving SQL scripts to handle common data and user errors, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of trade reporting, wrote python scripts to handle recurring issues with 'dirty' data being provided, and created macros to ensure minimal errors and corruption in csv files by minimising necessary user input.
Innovative Solutions and Technology Integration: Designed and implemented a custom ChatGPT to qualify leads more efficiently, automating the collection of company websites, directors' lists, and brief histories - and in turn writing more personal emails to their decision makers.
Skills, interests, and further education:
Professional Certifications: Google Data Analytics Professional certificate holder and in the process of completing Google IT Automation with Python and Microsoft's Business Analytics Certificates
Programming Languages: Python, SQL, C#, and Java, with a determination to learn C++.
Data and Programming: Proficient in data cleansing, processing client transaction data in SQL, developing automation scripts, extracting, visualising, and communicating value from data
Systems and Technologies: Experienced with Microsoft Excel/VBA, Microsoft SQL Server, Geneva/Investran, Calastone/Keystone, Service Now, Bloomberg Terminal, and FundRecs.
Programming and Chess: Currently working on a chess game using C# with JetBrains Rider IDE and Avalonia UI. My goal is to build my own chess engine and position evaluation feature for chess-bot tournaments, including puzzles and openings game modes.
Powerlifting and Rugby: I was the runner-up in the -120kg weight class at the 2023 IrishPF September open, with a 235kg squat and 240kg deadlift, I was also a member of Terenure College RFC
I am committed to breaking into a technical team and role, leveraging my technical interests and acumen to make significant contributions. My future aspirations include working on advanced data analytics projects and integrating innovative technologies to drive business success.
Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn or reach out via email. I am always open to discussing new opportunities, collaborations, and ideas in the tech and financial services industries.
